Before we begin, make sure you have the login credentials for both your Namecheap account (where your domain is registered) and your HostGator account (where your website is hosted). Once you have that information handy, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to Your Namecheap Account
Go to Namecheap.com and log in to your account using your username and password. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a list of your domains in the dashboard.
Step 2: Select the Domain You Want to Point to HostGator
Find the domain name that you want to link to your HostGator hosting account and click on it. This will take you to the domain management page.
Step 3: Update Nameservers
On the domain management page, look for the “Nameservers” section. By default, Namecheap uses its own nameservers. You’ll need to change them to HostGator’s nameservers.
HostGator’s nameservers are:
